Reclaiming Pleasure
Pleasure is your Birthright
What is Pleasure for you?
Let this word Pleasure land in your body.
Is it tainted by anything related to sexuality? Is this word connoted with something bad? Do you feel even a slight tension? Maybe there is a belief that you are not entitled to? A sin …
I invite you to pronounce this word Pleasure out loud and feel the roundness of this beautiful word, its full-bodied syllables, resonate in your mouth and curve the edge of your body and psyche in softness.
In the word Pleasure, which may have been distorted by religion and the modern way of living, there is an invitation to savor and to slow down.
Pleasure.
The Remembrance of softness contrasting with the violence of the endless effortful doing. Maybe, despite all our obligations, there is another space from which we can live our life. This can be very simple: touching the corduroy of your winter clothing or taking a moment to gaze at the cottony texture of the mist revealing the poetry of the Earth.
A remembrance that this Life of yours can be tasted in all its fragrances and subtleties, feeling your fingers touching your pen or the texture of the red pomegranate which will soon explode your palate and drip its juice in your mouth.
In the word pleasure, there is a sense of nourishment instead of doing, giving and feeling drained and exhausted.
There is a love emanating in each action permeated with pleasure. A love, a devotion, a reverence emanating from the present moment instead of being tensed by a result produced by your mind or the concept of efficiency or productivity.
No wonder, many of us may have lost touch with pleasure in this patriarchal consumerist society where each action must have an end, a meaning or a goal.
As the snake has been exiled from the garden of Eve and Adam, pleasure has become the forbidden fruit. Or it may have been extracted from its original essence in tantric modern lineages and totally alien in some Ancient Eastern spiritualities or considered as the product of the devil ego.
Pleasure has been misappropriated in the modern way of living. It has been distorted by patriarchal religions which married pleasure with sin or guilt. These enslaving postulates were recycled by capitalism which coupled pleasure with reward and by anchoring the belief that pleasure is measured by the amount of money you give. They make you belief, the more expensive, the more pleasurable your life will be.
Mother wounds in your lineage, product of the patriarchy, can also separate you from your ability to receive pleasure and nourishment.
The thing is that pleasure is our birthright and can be tasted in many direct simple ways.
As each breath of prana nourishing your being,
Pleasure is your birthright.
Pleasure is the matter of an embodied consciousness. It belongs to the realm of our Bodies. Its velvet depth can not be felt by our mind. Pleasure is revealed in the fullness of the sensorial Now. Its Mystery can only be revealed through our Body.
Pleasure is the atonement to your sanctified human body.
Even if pleasure is a portal for both women and men, pleasure has a female affinity.
Women’s rounded, full bodied breasts, hips, butt, designed on the template of the ancient fertility opulent Goddesses gush her pleasure of Creation.
The erect sacred lingam in ancient Indian temples, which can be seen as the masculine or the formless, demands every day to be anointed by the milk of the Mother which she does with immense pleasure of reverence to her beloved.
Being a receptive vessel, women’s Feminine Bodies have a unique ability to receive the sacred ordinariness through pleasure. This may be one of the reasons why women’s bodies have been enslaved to men’s desires. Besides their potent power to create new lives, women’s bodies are sacred vessels able to be ravished by the Mystery to birth numinous insights and wisdom, being in direct Union with God, the Father.
Your Feminine Body is awaiting to be nourished by pleasure.
This is the time for your Pleasure Reclamation.
Pleasure is your Birthright.
Pleasure is Nourishment.
Pleasure is Reverence.
Pleasure is Self Love.
Pleasure is Sacred.

Beautiful!
